In an attack on the Padded Performance horse and in effect on all Tennessee Walking Horses, the Humane Society of the United States(HSUS) on May 21, wrote to the North Carolina State Fair Manager in an attempt to have the Performance horse removed from competition at the fair. Walking Horse Trainers Give Back Program

The Walking Horse Trainers' Association has started a new Walking Horse Trainers Give Back Program. This will be a community outreach initiative that will strive to positively impact children, families and animals.
